Installation from source is required to call Phaser from Python
Phaser-2.5.0 Under Construction
- Phenix Installation
- Download with Phenix Package → Nightly Builds
- Precompiled executables and source installations are available
- CCP4 Installation
- Download with Test release of ccp4 v6.3.0. It is tagged as 6.2.993 and the tarballs are available on the ftp server ftp.ccp4.ac.uk/ccp4/6.2.993.

- Phubuntu
- An Ubuntu Linux boot iso file is available from the Phenix website. Burn this file to a DVD and use it to boot your computer and run Phenix and Coot.

- The ccp4i files for phaser are included in the phaser source code distribution.

- To install new Phaser GUI
- Make sure you have write permission for the directory where ccp4 is installed
- Start the CCP4 GUI (by entering "ccp4i" at the command line)
- Select the "System Administration" pull-down on the right-hand side of the CCP4 gui
- Select "Install Tasks"
- In the new window, in the "Task archive" box, enter <path-to>/Phaser_MR_3.tar.gz. Note that the file must be called Phaser_MR_3.tar.gz − Do not rename it
- The details of the Phaser gui installation will appear in the boxes
- Click "Apply" at the bottom of the window
- Click "Accept" in the prompt box
- To uninstall previous Phaser GUI
